Who MitraMan is in Sansad Showdown

MitraMan is the Team Vaada fighter in Sansad Showdown, and his accent colour in the game is orange (#ff9933). He is one of the regular fighters; the boss is Mbapu.

On the select screen, tap his face on a phone, or use ← → on a keyboard until he is highlighted, then press Enter. His intro line is "Mitron!"

That puts him in the middle of the roster. Dozer Dada and Toll Man have exactly the same walk speeds.

MitraMan moves

The inputs for specials and combos are the same for every fighter. These are the in-game names of MitraMan's moves:

How to do the ones with their own input:

• Demonetization Palm: →J (forward and punch). On a phone, forward on the stick and PUNCH.
• Surprise Strike: →K (forward and kick).
• GST Sweep: ↓K (down and kick).
• Hugplomacy: I, or J and K together. On a phone, tap GRAB.

His move list also names a Vikas Uppercut, a Sunehre Din Roundhouse and a combo finisher, the Lamba Bhashan Combo. The combo strings, such as JJK, are shared by every fighter, and all six are on the controls page.

MitraMan Super: Mitra Chakra

Rises into the sky as a spinning chakra grows from a spark, then hurls it for 30% damage.

To fire it, fill the SHAKTI meter by fighting, then press L or Space. On a phone, tap SUPER. It needs a full meter.

Voice lines and Diwali lines

The Diwali Special is on by default right now, and it gives MitraMan his own Diwali intro and win lines.

How to play MitraMan

MitraMan has no hidden stat advantage, which makes him a good first pick: what you learn with him works for most of the roster.

• Learn on Easy. Press 1 on the select screen for the Easy CPU and practise Demonetization Palm and Surprise Strike until they come out every time.
• Block by holding back. There is no block button. He walks back at 1.7 against 2.2 forward, so you cannot simply walk away from a faster fighter like Deedee. Hold back, take the block, then answer.
• Vary your attacks. Mix punch strings with GST Sweep (↓K) and the Hugplomacy grab instead of repeating one string. The CPU's block chance is set to 0.75 on Hard against 0.18 on Easy, so expect far more blocking there.

Against slower fighters such as Tariff Taau (2.1), he closes the gap a little faster. Against Mbapu, read how to beat Mbapu first, since boss rules apply in CPU fights.

Is MitraMan a real person?

MitraMan is widely read by players and media as a caricature of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The game itself does not name any real person. People who search for the game by that name can see which games those searches usually mean.

On your first visit the game shows a satire notice saying it is not affiliated with any leader, party or government body. MitraMan's moves, Super and lines are in-game satire, and this guide only describes them. The rest of the roster is on the characters page.
